About This Coffee

We first met coffee from this farm way back in the end of 2023 during our last days before we move in to our current studio. Back then this coffee surpised us as we remember it was very like a ripe orange. Fast forward in 2025, we wanted to feature that coffee again as well opening up a new producing relationship with the farmers: Mas Iyan from Mas Iyan Coffee Farmers. While you may known coffee from Mt. Ijen, this coffee comes from Mt. Suket. Another tall mountain located in East Java. The cherries are produced by smallholder coffee farmers, and then was brought back to Bondowoso to be processed by Mas Iyan. The process is a reverse anaerobic fermentation. Which means before the anaerobic fermentation, the coffee cherries are first dried for several days before then put inside a plastic drum to then ferment anaerobically. Furthermore, for the first lot from them we pick their single variety of orange bourbon which is a natural mutation of the bourbon variety from East Java. We found this coffee has a nice balance between the acidity and the sweetness with this process. In the cup expect notes of mango, soft tropical fruits, and navel orange. Available in 150g bags. The weight below is the final weight of coffee, box, stickers, and brewing guide.
