After relocating from Caquetá, Fernando and Alejandra began rebuilding their livelihoods through agriculture, gradually moving from crops to specialty coffee, rooted in long-term stability and care for the land. Motivated to do things differently, Fernando has focused on planting uncommon varietals such as this Chiroso, rather than the more widely grown regional varieties, an approach that reflects both curiosity and resilience. Alejandra plays a vital role in the farm’s success, supporting daily operations by caring for farm workers, coordinating meals, and ensuring the smooth running of both farm and mill
