Colombia Mikava Gesha Washed Carbonic Maceration

Imbibe Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

Paul and Kevin Doyle are the men behind Mikava which is one of the finest coffee farms on the planet today. In 2019 they won the Colombian Cup of Excellence with the highest score ever achieved in the contest. In 2023 their coffee was used to win the World Brewers Cup. They have become the coffee of choice for many competitors on the international competition stage. We are privileged to roast their coffees. This coffee is from their second farm, Santuario which is especially suited to growing Gesha with its high altitude. Coffee cherries undergo a Double Phase Washed Carbonic Maceration process, marking a new washed coffee process developed by Mikava. Our tasting/cupping notes for this second coffee come from our Q Grader, Monika. She'll always find at least 7 or 8 aromas, taste notes etc and then select the three she finds most pronounced to put on our bags. For this coffee she selected Elderflower, Orange and Fig
