GoodBeans Mapache Natural
About This Coffee
Family Pack contains: 4x 12 oz bags of our Mapache. Enjoy Mapache (Procyon Lothor), our House roast named after the Raccoon! Here at GoodBeans we have a thing for raccoons, for whatever reason these masked bandits which are common in rural El Salvador including coffee farms have made their way into our hearts. To us their connection with coffee is almost natural, they're mostly nocturnal and always look like they need a cup and act like they probably have had a cup too many 😁 WHOLE BEAN Mapache is grown by Fernando Gutiérrez in his farm "Las Nubes". Las Nubes Coffee Estate is located on Cerro Las Ranas, up in the mountains of the Apaneca Ilamatepec range near the town of Juayua in El Salvador. Fernando's farm is mostly planted with heirloom Bourbon trees, most of which are between 50-60 years old coming from the original lineage of Heirloom Bourbon that made El Salvador's coffee famous around the world. It has chocolate and fruity tasting notes, very sweet with a balanced level of acidity, a velvety butterscotch texture and a pleasant lingering finish. A crowd pleasing coffee for sure. SCA Rated at 86.5 pts this delicious coffee was natural processed and milled at El Borbollon, one of the best mills in El Salvador. Mapache works great for batch brew and pourover, it also makes for a great medium roast espresso.
