Decaffeinated coffee that comes to us from Brazil. This is a decaffeinated coffee using the SWISS WATER PROCESS method. The coffee is free of added chemicals and processed in the cleanest water. This process is part of initiatives that support the sustainability and livelihood of producers around the world. The coffee is very balanced, the aroma is strong and chocolatey. The body is medium-strong and the acidity is low. The taste is reminiscent of chocolate, hazelnut, almonds, malt and roasted grains. This coffee is produced using a special method that is patented! The SWISS WATER process works by diffusion. Initially, green coffee beans are soaked in water until all caffeine and taste compounds are extracted. The beans are then removed and discarded, and the resulting solution is passed through a carbon filter that removes the caffeine, leaving only the taste compounds - the green coffee extract is the basis for producing the decaffeinated coffee. In the next step, green beans are soaked in this extract under controlled heat, pressure and flow conditions, creating a saturated extract in which the caffeine leaves the coffee beans but the taste compounds of the coffee remain in place, without effect. After the caffeine is removed from the beans, they are dried in a 3-step process and then undergo a "polishing" process to obtain completely clean beans. The result is decaffeinated coffee at a rate of 99.9%.
