About This Coffee

Water is very important when brewing coffee (it does make up the majority of your cup!). The mineral composition and respective PPM can affect the flavour profile. At Hatch, we have a commercial re-mineralised water system (called Water For Coffee) to help maintain high quality water for our brews. However, at home this can be a challenging thing to adjust. This is where specific water recipes are helpful for consistency in brews at home. This is where Apax Lab comes in. We were very impressed with the effectiveness of the mineral concentrates they produced so we were thrilled to be able to collaborate to develop a custom profile for our coffee. In our Peak subscription boxes, we include one vial of ‘Lumina’ for subscribers to allow for a closer experience to the notes that we derive at the lab. We now have it available for individual sale. Details: 20ml Glass Vial Brew your coffee using distilled or RO water. Add drops of this mineral concentrate to your brewed coffee. We recommend 5 drops as a starting point and you can add more or less to suit your taste!
