Marespi is a family business from Costa Rica with a history spanning over three generations. Founded in the 1960s by Rafael Marín and Silvia Espinoza, the farm has grown from a small family project to a respected exporter, known for high-quality coffees. Located in the Brunca region of Pérez Zeledón, Marespi operates in an area known for its volcanic soil, constant rainfall, and high altitude, ideal conditions for producing intense and complex coffees. For decades, they have collaborated with local farmers, combining traditional agricultural knowledge with new techniques that enhance flavor while caring for nature. Sustainability is at the heart of Marespi's activity, with an emphasis on reducing chemicals, protecting ecosystems, and promoting biodiversity, while using a range of processing methods to obtain sweet, balanced, and acidic coffees with reduced water consumption
