Tenejapa

La Cabra

About This Coffee

The return of our partners from the Cafeólogo project, with a bright and crisp washed lot from the Tenejapa region. This lot is an example of this work, a community lot produced by several skilled producers on their own farms surrounding the village of Tenejapa, just an hour or so’s drive from Cafeólogo’s base in San Cristóbal. Each is a member of the Girón family, Lucía, Antonio, Santiago and Simon. They have all processed using a washed method, creating a very clean and clear representation of the terroir here. The Girón family grow a mix of Caturra and the native Mexican cultivar Garnica. Fresh ripe red berries open the cup, balanced by a deep honey sweetness.
