While many people know India as a producer of fine tea, it has been growing and exporting exceptional coffee for over 150 years. Today, India is the fifth largest producer of Arabica coffee in the world, behind Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Ethiopia. The legend tells of the Muslim pilgrim, Baba Budan, who brought seven coffee beans after returning from a visit to the Holy Land.
