About This Coffee
Lugmapata is a family-run farm located in Pallatanga, Ecuador, led by the Merino family. Situated at an altitude of 1,700–1,900 MASL, the farm primarily grows Typica Mejorado and Sidra. This particular lot is a separation of Sidra, harvested in July 2025. We’ve long admired the coffees from this farm, and this marks our second season collaborating with the Merino family. The cup is incredibly dynamic and flavorful, with a range of complex acidity from hot to cold. We’re tasting bright flavors of raspberry and lemon-lime up front, as well as crisp ginger ale. As the cup cools, it develops into honeydew melon, green apple, and strawberry jam, with a lingering, sparkling sweetness
