About This Coffee

Located in the village of Shantawene, in the Sidama region of Ethiopia, Gatta Farm is more than just a coffee producer. Founded by Mulugeta Dukamo and his brother Asefa Dukamo, the farm was designed from the start as an engine for local development. The planting, harvesting and processing of coffee are carried out mainly by the inhabitants of the region. Women play an essential role in quality control and post-harvest processing. By offering fair wages and decent working conditions, the farm contributes directly to improving the local standard of living. Gatta Farm also includes a drying station, a lodge and a training center. The latter welcomes trainees each year to train them in coffee processing techniques, creating sustainable learning and employment opportunities. Thanks to its social commitment, its respect for the environment and its exceptional terroir, Gatta Farm produces high quality coffees while strengthening the communities that surround it.
