This peaberry selection from the Kii Factory in Kirinyaga is a concentrated expression of what makes Kenyan coffees so sought after. Visibly smaller and compact, the mighty peaberry brings a depth and sweetness that leaves it standing out among the pack, and this lot is no exception. Produced by members of the Rungeto Farmers Cooperative Society, the cherries are grown at 1,750 meters and processed using Kenya’s traditional washed method. The high elevation, volcanic soils, and meticulous handling combine to bring clarity and vibrancy to the cup. Expect a profile that leans heavily into fruit—blackberry and other dark berries with a jam-like density—balanced by toffee sweetness and a lingering, sugary finish. It’s concentrated, layered, and unabashedly Kenyan.
