This remarkable coffee offers a luscious harmony of brown sugar, cranberry and dark chocolate, finished with a subtle blackberry jam that lingers with a smooth body. Deep-rooted tradition shapes life in Aceh, a region celebrated for its exceptional cup profiles and classic Indonesian approach to coffee cultivation. Here, coffee is grown on small family farms averaging less than three acres. The producers, belonging to the Gayonese ethnic group, maintain a traditional village lifestyle, where even their homes resemble ships. Remarkably, 70% of these farmers are women, whose livelihood depends on coffee to support their families
