It has floral flavours of blueberry and blood orange, and strong juicy fruit notes of blackcurrant, dark cherry and plum. This is the Kenyan coffee which everyone thinks of. Kutere Washing Station is located on Mount Elgon in Bungoma County and was established in 2011. It supports a total of 500 members, comprising farmers with an average of 4-8 acres, who grow coffee on plantations located on the slopes of Mount Elgon, which has volcanic soil which is very suitable for coffee cultivation. Currently, Kutere is in the process of separating from its mother cooperative, Kikai Cooperative, and becoming independent
