Kenya Nyeri AA (Washed) CUP PROFILE: Reds, Loud, Winey Kenya for Kenya fans. Strong olfactory sensations set the table with notes of saturated red fruits. Think of redcurrants, hibiscus, blood orange, cherry, dried cherry, cranberry. On the palate, structured acidity hits loud and fast with the aroma true to the taste: berries and blood orange and hibiscus and cranberry. The body has heft and at times a buttery texture. As the cup cools the fruit spectrum gains in complexity with a surge in grapefruit, and tannins that bolster the aftertaste with a winey sensation strong enough to make you go, "Ahhhhhhhhhh, that's good." Resting Recommendation: 3 weeks pour over; 4 weeks espresso. Roast level: Light, about 10% weight loss with 122 ground color (Lebrew)
